"Where The Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens Review

Book 5: "Where The Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens 📚✨

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It took me so long to read this book, there was so much hype around it but I was scared I wouldn't like it so I always avoided it. Finally it became available at the library so I decided to give it a try and I am so happy I did! It was definitely a book I could not put down and exceeded all my expectations. It was one of those books that I wish was also a picture book because I had such vivid images in my mind of the characters/setting etc. but want to know if I was envisioning everything properly (Does anyone else ever feel that way?)! It's a story filled with many different themes including prejudice, friendship, loneliness, and love. I felt such a strong connection to Kya (the Marsh Girl) and am so happy I finally read this book!

I also felt like there were similarities between this book and Educated, specifically the family life/"marsh people". Did anyone else feel this way?

Most definitely 5 stars from me and I finally understand why this book was so highly recommended!
